Ayuhausca (Banisteriopsis caapi) is a phytochemically-rich combination of plants brewed by Indian shamans used for healing purposes and divinatory purposes, such as connecting to the spirit world.
The plant is a wholistic healer, healing on all levels of existence, including the physical realm, mental realm, etheric realm, astral realm, etheric template realm, celestial realm, and ketheric template realm.
According to the indigenous Amazonian people, instructions for taking the plant were received directly from the plants and plant spirits, whom the shamans communicated with.
Through a series of reactions among chemicals from several plants (including dimethyltryptamine (DMT) containing species of shrubs from the genus Psychotria) working together, a hallucinogenic and psychoactive plant extract - Ayahuasca, is created.
DMT is a psychedelic compound of the tryptamine family and its presence is widespread throughout the plant kingdom. In humans, DMT functions as a trace amine neurotransmitter. It is structurally analogous to the neurotransmitter serotonin (5-HT), the hormone ‘melatonin’ and other psychedelic tryptamines.
The benefits of Ayahausca include experience of massive spiritual revelations regarding ones life purpose on planet earth, the true nature of the Universe, how to be the best person they possibly can, spiritual awakening (spiritual consciousness) and rebirth; access and entrance into higher spiritual dimensions, making contact with various spiritual or extra-dimensional beings who can act as guides or healers, enhanced astral traveling, expansion of consciousness, lucid dreaming, and experiences of total loss of connection to convential reality (the Matrix). It also serves as a catalyst (magnifier) to meditation.
Through the activation of the unconscious, Ayahausca expands a person’s consciousness to encompass other realities. This reality is similar to the reality we experience every night during dreaming. Ayahausca increases the ‘twilight state’ between sleep and awake, the so-called hypnagogic state - a state where the person is awake and aware in a relaxed, dreamlike manner, where so tospeak a “magnifying glass” is put on their unconscious processes.
Many users of this herb have reported experiences of profound positive changes in their life subsequent to consuming Ayahausca. The plant is viewed as one of the most effective tools of enlightment and for purposes of emotional and spiritual healing.
Consumption of Ayahausca stimulates lucid dreaing, a state of dreaming where you are aware that you are dreaming and often you have an influence on the dream content. Under the influence of Ayahausca, you are able to access your own unconscious without interference from the analytical mind and its critical voice which is pacified for the moment, which happens during hypnosis, but during the Ayahausca intake the person is his or her own hypnotist and therapist. A person can receive new profound insights into old thinking and behavior patterns to integrate former unconscious material on a higher level of consciousness.
Ayahausca is great for inner healing, especially on the emotional level. Under the influence of Ayahausca, a person is able to access old traumatic memories and suppressed emotions. If a person is able to look at these phenomena passively and then let them go, it has a healing and integrating effect on the personality. Ayahausca helps release blocked energy in the mind and body.
Long term use of the plant can lead to curing of alcohol and substance abuse.
Excess Ayahuasca can lead to nausea, diarrhea, cold flashes and vomitting which is why small amounts should be consumed, especially by the newcomer. According to the shamans, the process of vomitting is an essential part of the Ayahausca experience as it represents the release of negative energy and emotions built up over the course of one’s life.
To counter the vomitting, the herb ‘Clavo Hausca’ is used as an adjunctive ingredient in various Ayuhausca recipes or taken shortly after taking the plant to settle the stomach and prevent vomitting.
We highly recommend consuming Clavo Hausca when consuming Ayahuasca. For one capsule of Ayahuasca, take one capsule of Clavo Hausca. We do not advise taking more than one capsule of Ayahausca for beginners. It is best to start off in small doses and increase the dosage over time. We also highly recommend newbies to Ayahausca start off with our Ayahusaca-Clavohausca Combo formula.
There are no yet known long-term negative effects from consuming Ayahausca.
Ayahausca means “spirit vine.” ‘Aya’ meaning, “spirit”; and ‘waska’ meaning “vine.” Hence, Ayahausca meaning “vine of the soul”, or, “vine of the dead”, and/or “spirit vine.”
Only recently western science has shown interest in Ayahuasca. In 1993 both American and Brazilian scientists conducted the so called Hoasca Project in the Amazon Delta, where a group of long term users of Ayahuasca (belonging to the religious organisation Uniao do Vegetal) was compared to a group of non-users. In addition to the biochemical, pharmacological and physiological investigations the subjects were given a thorough psychological/psychiatric examination. A large percentage of the long-term users of Ayahuasca were cured of alcohol and substance abuse. In contrary to the control group they were found to be more trustworthy, loyal, optimistic, spontaneous, energetic and emotionally mature. In addition the long-term users had better results than the control group regarding tests that measures concentration and short-term memory. There were not found any side effects due to long term use of Ayahuasca.
NOTE from herbalist Djehuty Ma’at-Ra: Ayahausca should not be looked upon as the key to one’s spiritual enlightenment as it is only a tool. It should not be used as an escape from 3D reality, but as a vehicle to travel beyond the 3D realm so as to acquire beneficial information from other realms that can be brought back to the 3D and applied so as to positively impact one’s life on this realm. Ayahausca should not be looked upon as an alternative to drugs, esp. hallucinogenic and psychedelic drugs, esp. LSD, which have adverse side effects, especially on the brain and mind.
